Emerald Bayou Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing a sustainable Louisiana-based global entertainment industry. Our objective is a healthy, thriving entertainment industry with a well-trained professional workforce, sustained level of production, ample financing, and culture of excellence.

Emerald Bayou Foundation reaches out to people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic status with training and information about the entertainment industry, film production and entertainment technology. The Foundation also provides information to state and national policy and law makers regarding the entertainment industry and digital technology.

The Foundation serves as a direct connection between Louisiana and the global creative community:

• By encouraging professionals who are working outside the state to return home to share their experience and knowledge;
• By promoting Louisiana at film festivals, events and conferences worldwide; and
• By inviting industry leaders to visit and work in Louisiana.

Emerald Bayou Foundation promotes research and development in entertainment technology:

• By working with leading universities such as LSU, Georgia Tech and University of Louisiana Lafayette; and
• By participating in global technology conferences such as National Association of Broadcasters and Digital Hollywood.
